How to Find Your Skype Name

To book your lesson with the tutor, please enter your Skype Name or Microsoft Account accurately so that our tutors can find you on Skype. Kindly note that your Skype Name is usually not your first and last name (unless you deliberately combined your first and last name without a space to create your Skype Name). When Skype was an independent company, users were able to create their own Skype Name but Microsoft bought out Skype in 2011 and when Skype migrated to Microsoft, new users could no longer create a unique Skype Name and your Microsoft Account effectively became your Skype Name. To find your Skype Name, please follow the instructions below.

Finding your Skype Name on a desktop or laptop computer (tablet is also similar)

To find your Skype Name on a desktop or laptop computer (it's also similar for tablets), click on your profile picture and a menu will drop down, and then click on 'Skype Profile' to view your profile:



On your Skype Profile, look for the Skype Name section and there you will find your Skype Name:

Please make sure you copy your Skype Name accurately when you enter your Skype Name for the website. Otherwise, the tutor won't be able to find you on Skype if you enter an incorrect Skype Name (as a fallback, because you are also given the tutor's Skype Name when you successfully book the trial lesson, you can add your tutor on Skype to connect to your tutor).

Finding your Skype Name on your mobile phone:

To find your Skype Name on your mobile phone, click on your profile picture:



On your Skype Profile, look for the Skype Name section and there you will find your Skype Name:
